ABOUT LAURIE

Contact Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) (LCSW) and (LCSW-C) currently practicing in Washington D.C, Maryland and Northern Virginia. I provide a variety of clinical services that will meet your needs. I am dedicated to helping you work through any conflicts and challenges you may be experiencing in your personal and professional relationships. I have been providing clinical social work services for the past 20 years and have experience working in a variety of settings and with a diverse population. I have provided groups, couples, individual and family therapy, as well as management consultations, clinical supervision, and wellness presentations. I have received advanced training from the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy, Schema Therapy Institute, Neuro-Linguistic Programming Center in New York and the Jewish Social Service Agency Adult Psychotherapy Program.

My approach is collaborative.  We will work as a team to identify your goals and treatment objectives. The therapeutic technique that I commonly use is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which has been proven to be extremely effective in treating depression, anxiety and trauma. However, I also use an eclectic approach and integrate other effective techniques during the therapeutic process. We also may work on communication skills, processing feelings, and dealing with past experiences.
